Underscore's first project explores freedom, global technology, domestic surveillance and international war by revisiting the mythology of the three fates: a measurer, a cutter, and a spinner of life. The performance happened live May 1, 2004 at Hofstra University (NY), California State University, Northridge (CA), St. Cloud State University (MN), and Sauk Valley Community College (IL). Through video conferencing and a simultaneous webcast, live video streams of the performers at the three locations were combined into a single performance.
